I’m a lover of love, a lover of laughter, and a little bit obsessed with weddings — especially the part where two people stand together and say, “Yep, it’s you. Let’s do this!”

I genuinely love my job. I love meeting couples, hearing how they found each other, discovering the funny little stories that make their relationship unique, and then turning all of that into a ceremony that feels completely, wonderfully you.

Whether you're planning a big celebration, an intimate elopement, a Legals Only wedding or something wonderfully unconventional, I’m here to make the whole process relaxed, enjoyable and, most importantly, about you two.

I’ll bring the legal know-how, the organisation, the microphone, the words and the calm when things get a little wobbly. You bring the love, the laughs and the rings.

A love story that captured the nation

Terry and Cecily are a Northern Beaches couple who finally got married in their backyard after a nearly 40-year relationship and a 20-year engagement. They have appeared on Channel 9, “Current Affair” and SBS ‘Insight”, along with local media.

  • How they met: They met in their 40s when living on Sydney's northern beaches. Cecily asked to "borrow" Terry from his then-wife for a function, and joked later that she simply "forgot to give him back".

  • The 20-year engagement: On Cecily's 70th birthday, she told Terry she wanted to get married. Terry jokingly replied he would only marry her under two conditions: if she got pregnant, or when he turned 90.

  • The wedding: True to his cheeky word, Terry turned 90 and the couple tied the knot in a backyard ceremony surrounded by around 70 family members and friends.

“Hello, is it me you’re looking for?” 🎶

Well… possibly! And if you’re looking for a marriage celebrant who loves weddings, loves people and genuinely loves what she does, you may have just found her.

Hi, I’m Mary — an Irish-born marriage celebrant based in North Sydney, and I’ve had the absolute pleasure of marrying couples for several years now.

And honestly, I still get excited about it.

I love meeting couples, hearing their stories and discovering all the little things that make their relationship theirs. I then take those stories, personalities and ideas and create a ceremony that feels natural, personal and true to you.

Whether you’re planning a big celebration, an intimate elopement, a Legals Only ceremony or something completely different, I’m here to help you bring it all together.

I bring experience, plenty of organisation, a good sense of humour and a genuine enthusiasm for what I do. I’ll guide you through the legalities, help with the ceremony and vows, and be there to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

Most importantly, I want you to enjoy the experience. Getting married is a pretty big deal — and it should be fun along the way.
